What is the difference in the work you will do?
The DevOps course, as published, is Linux and Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, ArgoCD, Prometheus and Grafana. You finish able to describe a commit that becomes a monitored deployment. The cloud courses are the consoles: AWS IAM, EC2, S3 and VPC; Azure virtual machines, Entra ID and AKS; GCP Compute Engine, GKE and Cloud Build. You finish able to design a network and deploy on that vendor.
They overlap. A pipeline often deploys to a cloud. AKS and GKE are Kubernetes. Terraform on the Linux course targets AWS and Azure. The flagship sentence even lists clouds and DevOps tools in one four-month classroom. The split is about where you start, not about two buildings.
Which course should you start?
Start with a cloud course if your gap is the console: you cannot yet build a VPC, an identity policy or a virtual machine with confidence. Start with DevOps if you can already deploy something and now need the pipeline, the cluster and the infrastructure file. Start with Linux if the shell itself is the gap. The course pages name freshers and working professionals for all of these. They do not name a score that assigns you.
A comparison table is below. It uses only this institute's published modes. It does not mention any other training company.
| Question | DevOps course | Cloud computing course |
|---|---|---|
| First tools | Linux, Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform | AWS, Azure and GCP consoles and networks |
| Published outcome | Pipeline, cluster, Terraform, dashboards | Deploy and operate on a cloud account |
| Where | Lodha Supremus, Chandivali, Powai | Same campus |
| Batches | Weekday, weekend, classroom, blended | Weekday, weekend, classroom, blended |
| Placement lines | 450+ placed, 100% Placement, 360° Placement Assurance | Same institute lines. No separate cloud total |
| Fees | Call. Not printed | Call. Not printed |
Can you take both?
The catalogue is built so you can. COURSE cards link AWS, Azure, GCP, DevOps, Kubernetes and Terraform as related paths. The site does not publish a bundle price or a required sequence beyond the teaching order inside each course. Ask 083695 18569 whether the current flagship batch already includes the three clouds, because the flagship description says it does, while the individual course pages also exist on their own.
How do you decide in one counselling call?
Say which sentence is true. If you cannot yet build a network, an identity policy or a virtual machine, start with AWS, Azure or GCP. If you can deploy something and now need the build, the cluster and the infrastructure file, start with DevOps. If the shell itself is the gap, start with Linux. The catalogue lets you add the other courses later. The flagship sentence is the option where the three clouds and the DevOps tools already share a four-month room. Ask whether that combined batch is the one with seats.
Do not decide from a fee this page does not print, or from another institute's brand, which this page will not name. Decide from the tool list, the campus you can reach, and the placement lines that apply to the institute as a whole. Both tracks use weekday and weekend batches at Lodha Supremus. Both sit under 450+ placed, 100% Placement and 360° Placement Assurance. There is no second percentage for cloud.
Which affiliations does DevOps Institute claim?
DevOps Institute is affiliated with NASSCOM, IBM, Govt. of India (MEITY) and IIT Patna, and works in collaboration with IIT and Microsoft. The names are written out in words. This page does not show affiliation logos.
Frequently asked questions
- Is DevOps the same as a cloud course?
- No. DevOps on this site is the toolchain around delivery. Cloud is AWS, Azure and GCP. They are taught in the same building and often in one flagship program.
- Which one has placement support?
- The institute publishes 450+ placed, 100% Placement and 360° Placement Assurance. It does not split a different percentage out for cloud.
- Do I need cloud before Kubernetes?
- Not according to the Kubernetes page, which starts at Docker. Cloud still helps, because clusters usually run on a cloud account.
- Are the batches different?
- Both use the campus weekday and weekend batches. Confirm the specific batch by phone.
- Where do I read the syllabi?
- DevOps syllabus page, plus /courses/aws, /courses/azure, /courses/gcp and /courses/devops.
- Who do I call?
- 083695 18569, Powai campus.
